§ 500.070. Violation and Penalty.

  • Any person who shall violate a provision of any of the building codes adopted in this Chapter, specifically those codes adopted in Sections 500.010(A), 500.020(A), 500.030(A), 500.040(A), 500.050(A) and 500.060(A) of this Chapter, or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, construct, alter or repair a building or structure in violation of an approved plan of or directive of the Code Enforcement Officer, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provision of any of the above noted codes, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
